Islamic mortgage financing and real estate regrets

As hard as homebuyers might try to think of everything when they purchase a property using Islamic home financing, people still have regrets after they’ve settled in and lived in the house for awhile.

For example, a recent survey found nearly 34% said owning a home cost more than they expected. Although these people were pleased with their islamic mortgage financing, they underestimated the different costs associated with the process of buying a home including appraisal fees and land transfer taxes where applicable.

Another 22% said they wished they had more information on the home before they bought it which included the neighborhood. There were other concerns which all point to the fact that homebuyers need to do a fair amount of research to make sure the place they are buying suits all of their needs and desires.

Fifteen percent of the people polled said they wish they bought a home closer to their work so they had a shorter commute in the morning and evening. Islamic home financing products are Sharia compliant and carefully devised so they present no problems for homeowners.
