Watch out for these real estate agent gimmicks

While the majority of people who work with you to buy a house after you’ve got Islamic home loans are reputable, some real estate agents have been known to take advantage of people who don’t know the process very well. Islamic mortgage loans are a straightforward way to get the money you’ll need to buy a house, and avoiding these shady real estate tricks make things go smoothly.

  • Watch out for agents that tell you they have a buyer for your home right away. While technically that might be true in the grand scheme of things, it’s an old trick some agents use to get you to sign a contract with them whereby they can exclusively show your house. The best agents lead off with a marketing plan.
  • Be careful when these agents tell you they’ll buy your home if it doesn’t sell. If you go down this route, you’ll need to sign a contract and only get a portion of the market value your house is assessed for.

Any real estate agent you consider working with should have a marketing plan they present front and center. Staying away from the gimmicks they sometimes employ is about using the same common sense you did when you got islamic mortgage loans.
